Is McMurphy crazy? Thats the question throughout the whole film. The Cuckoo's Nest takes you through a never ending spiral of emotions. Anger, frustration, sympathy, happiness. The movie sets you up in this setting which seems so confined. I questioned if the story was to be a joke about "the nut house", but I realized it wasn't. Instead it was brudally honest. Through the group thearopy you got an insight into the characters and just what is going through their minds. Some you even questioned, why are they here? Others i guestioned; how are they still alive? How did McMurphy fit into this cataogory of crazy? Why was he and all the other men not suitable to walk the everyday streats? Throughout the film you get a better understanding of these questions.
